Ethan’s POV was a highlight for me his relentless determination to claim Mara while simultaneously pushing her to grow into her best self was thrilling to follow. On the other hand, Mara’s perspective gave the story balance; watching her resist, then slowly come to realize what Ethan offers and what they could become together. The push and pull between them is electric, filled with tension and heat.

The writing is vivid and immersive. In this kind of story, it’s crucial to feel what she feels, and the detail here makes you almost step inside Mara’s skin. One of the standout moments for me was when she disappeared and Ethan brought her back it was intense, shocking, and unforgettable. And one line that stayed with me long after reading was:

“And if you’re still gone tomorrow? … I’ll come get you. Wherever you’re hiding. However deep you’ve burrowed.”

That line captured everything about Ethan his devotion, his obsession, and the raw, haunting pull of his character.

Jennifer Elizabeth’s Written Obsession is everything I crave in a dark romance. It's passionate, dangerous, and absolutely impossible to put down. From the first chapter, I was hooked on the push and pull between the characters. The obsession, the longing, the delicious tension — it had me holding my breath and devouring every word.

I was lucky enough to read this as an ARC. To say I was surprised by this ..would be an understatement. Pleasantly surprised yet, also sucked into Ethan's world through Maras eyes. Believe me it was a dark world and one I couldn't stop reading to find out more.
I loved Maras character as it evolved..she was so sweetly naive just trying to write a book..then fell into a world I think that she would never have drempt of in a million years!
Ethan's world is dark, twisted and intense.

This book was an interesting read. Definitely not your typical romance. Very complex ..the plot intriguing. Though a good read.

This was unlike the usual dark romance stories that I normally read. This read more as a psychological thriller that kept me intrigued from the very beginning of the book. I find myself still thinking of Mara and Ethan's story days after I finished the book.

Highly recommend!

Mara wants to be invisible and is quite book and slinking into her surroundings. Ethan is not having it. He constructs her world with such obsession that their ending is inevitable.

I loved the idea behind this story but had a hard time with how many descriptors there were. I thought it distracted from the actual plot and story line a bit. I would have also like more info on the timeline as it seemed to jump a bit and took a second to connect what was happening. Overall pretty good!
